Texas Holdem Is The Game To Play>
Texas holdem is the most popular poker game going around these days. Hold 'em is a community card game where each player may use any combination of the five community cards and the player's own two pocket cards to make a poker hand. Over the years Texas holdem has surged in popularity and is now played all around the world. The televised main event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the World Poker Tour (WPT) was a major reason for the games increase in popularity. Since each player only holds two cards and the remaining cards are shared, the game presents a great opportunity for strategic analysis. Every player is different and employs a different strategy into their game. As the game is fairly simple to understand having a good strategy is the key. Of course there is an element of luck involved. However if you are able to employ timely and effective betting to win a hand without the best cards e.g. make your opponent fold. Or fold a great hand to save some chips when you know you’ve lost, then you’ll be on your way to mixing it up with the pros in no time. In Texas holdem players compete for a quantity of money contributed by the individuals themselves, this is known as the pot. Since cards are dealt randomly outside the players control, each person attempts to win the amount of money in the pot based on the hand the player holds. In Texas holdem you bet four times and at the end of each hand the pot is awarded to the player(s) who have not folded and hold the best hand combination. This is usually only one player however in the case of a tie the pot will be split.

My Two Favourite Tips: * The objective of the game is not to win every individual hand, but rather make mathematically correct decisions to maximize your winnings on the hands you play. * Don’t play drunk.
